Well, I have 38 items in my "Application Support" folder, and most of them
use the "plain name", like MoreSecurityTest which was installed by an Apple
Sample Code project. I have a folder called "Apple", which contains two
subfolders for different Apple apps, and also two different folders
installed by Apple's DVD Player. So, even Apple is not consistent.
I've looked for some theology on this in Apple documentation and can't find
any. If anyone can read me the rules, please do. The com.domain.app
"signature" seems like a good idea but maybe not if I'm the only one using
it.
