I've got a problem when using NSShadow on a transparent view. The
problem occurs when the view (and window behind it) are completely
transparent, drawing with my shadow set does not produce anything.
However, as I make the view opaque, the shadow comes into view. Is
this a bug, or is this expected behavior? I'm on 10.4.1.
I've got a sample project (xcode 2.1) that reproduces the behavior here:

I'd appreciate any pointers or hints that lets me know what I'm doing
wrong.
thanks,
-gus
