I've been inserting
[[NSRunLoop currentRunLoop] limitDateForMode: NSDefaultRunLoopMode];
at convenient places. YMMV!

Before I drop this issue, I thought I'd make one more plea for help.
If anybody has any comments, I'd love to hear them. Otherwise, I'll go
into the lab and start tinkering away :)

Before I do too much investigating on my own, I thought I'd ask here:
Is there something obvious I can do to "stimulate" a WebView to keep
rendering while a modal dialog is being presented? In particular, I
update a progress bar in a webview to reflect a network operation's
status. While the user is displaying a modal dialog in the
application, the progress bar updates stop, although I'm still
issuing the DOM-based changes to the web page. When the modal dialog
is dismissed, all the queued changes rush in.
I've seen a similar question asked a few times in the archives, but
it has a knack for garnering zero responses :)
Hopefully this will break that curse! Thanks,
Daniel
