Sometimes I want to find something in the reference documentation,
and would rather just use spotlight to look for it, but spotlight
doesn't seem to pickup all the docs. I type in something like 'core
data programming guide' and it does bring up some things, even one
or two things under the /developer folder, but it doesn't seem to
really search the html docs within the bulk of the documents.
I'm guessing you want to just search in the /Developer folder. You
can force an import of it:
mdimport -f "/Developer/ADC Reference Library"
Now linked to this, I know when there is a link to the pdf copy of
a doc, it gets it from apple. If I'm a select member, and I've got
the documentation sent to me on a dvd/cd, does this include the
pdf's, and if so can I replace the documentation that xcode
installs, with the set on the disk?
