- Thread-topic: To Automate Web Application
Hi Alex,
Thanx a lot for quick response. Yes I have just started to work on the
Automation Part of my Website in Mac Platform. As I am new for this so I
hardly have the idea which technology I should go ahead with it. I
haven't worked on AppleScript and Cocoa either.
If you browse this link
http://www.macromedia.com/cfusion/store/html/index.cfm?store=OLS-US
It will take you to the online store of Macromedia.
My task is to capture a product for example Click on Dreamweaver (at the
top right corner).Clicking on the icon takes you to the product page and
it goes till I have placed the Order. Once I have placed the order it
gets me the link to an .exe file that I will download in my system and
after that I will install it. This is the whole part I have to automate
it.
The problem is I don't know which technology to use and how to go ahead
with it. I am in India now and it would be great if I can talk to you
and let you know what exactly the problem is.
Kindly respond fast
Pratush Dayal

Hi Pratush,
Can you be more specific? Do you mean an Automator action that works
with a web app? If so, then sure. Check out the Automator mailing
list and/or dev resources from Apple.
Or do you mean to automate the creation of a Cocoa webkit app? It's
really quite simple to create a Cocoa web browser, but I'm not sure
this is what you are after?
