ebook reader suggestions

Hi all,

I'm just getting started with Cocoa. I did a very very tiny app a long time ago. Now it's time to really get started. :)

I'm hoping someone can give me some direction in how to procede. I'd to create a reader for a particular author. I'm now thinking it might turn into a general ebook reader. I think there are many forthcoming XHTML ebooks; it might be nice to support them.

So I'm wondering how I would go about this. Using webkit seems like the best approach and storing documents in XHTML or XML seems the way to go.

If I have XHTML documents that let's say contained a whole chapter or even book, how would I go about displaying only chapters or sections? DOM? Can I get use DOM to selectively display only parts of XHTML? Any good docs to get started with this?

I have the basic browser so far; it can load documents. Any help for where to go next would be greatly appreciate. Sorry to ask such basic questions. I searched the archives a bit and haven't been able to find much about this.

thanks a lot!

I originally posted this to webcore-dev. Maybe this is a better place.

Gary

But then: let the curtain fall, and let us bring our thinking back to solid goals near at hand! - Nietzsche
