Wouldn't it be awesome if Apple stopped suing people and maybe spent a
fraction of that money on its developer program? Maybe hire someone to
just *look* at the damned sample code before it makes its way to the
web?
I remember one of the (now Classic) docs had a ton of example code
snippets in it, none of which worked. It was riddled with blatant
typos, mixed pascal and c code, and function calls that didn't make it
all the way to the final SDK. That was many years ago though, and I
forgive Apple for that. But the fact that it's still happening, well...
For a platform that is used by more high school journalism classes than
any other, the developer docs sure lack proofread documentation.

Yes, this is a pet peeve of mine. But I think it's a reasonable one.
