Find the apparently obvious 5 bugs in the first 12 lines sample code.
Wouldn't it be awesome if Apple stopped suing people and maybe spent a
fraction of that money on its developer program?
How about people respecting NDAs so Apple didn't have to spend time and
money doing what you are complaining about?
Maybe hire someone to just *look* at the damned sample code before it
makes its way to the web?
This isn't a source code example that you download, this is just a
quick little outline of the API, so what if it doesn't compile. Yeah
kinda of dumb that it is screwed up but come on folks is this instance
such a big deal...
For a platform that is used by more high school journalism classes
than any other, the developer docs sure lack proofread documentation.
Have you looked over the recent reference library documentation online?
It is generally very good and correct. Decient improvements have been
made over the last year to date (over and above the prior years
improvements).
Anyway if you see an issue in the documentation point your browsers at
<http://developer.apple.com/bugreporter/>
...save us all list bandwidth that way.
