Hi Finlay,
Yeah, I saw the Data objects in the preference file. There's no way to
decode them, is there?
I'm writing an app that batch copies a lot of music files from DVDs to
the user's iTunes Music folder and adds them to the library. I figured
if I could turn on the "Copy files to iTunes Music folder when adding
to library" preference, I could script iTunes to add the music files
and save myself from having to do file-system operations like checking
for a certain file's prior existence, renaming if so, etc.
Cheers, Joannou.

I could get the iTunes Music folder location from iTunes Music
Library.xml. But, that still leaves me with the "Copy files to iTunes

not
seeing something obvious?
I suspect it's encoded in one of the blobs in the preferences. Why do
you need to know? :)
