Rendezvous Chat Help

Hi,
I'm trying to run Michael Beam's rendezvous chat client from his tutorial at: http://www.macdevcenter.com/pub/a/mac/2003/05/13/cocoa.html

The client is available for download at: http://www.macdevcenter.com/mac/2003/05/13/examples/RCE.sit

I run into a problem where I can't chat with another client after I close their chat window. It's easily repeatable without needing two clients on different machines. When you run the client on your own machine:
1. double click your own name
2. type a chat message
3. then a new window with what you just wrote appears
4. close both chat windows
5. double click your name from the list again
6. type a new message,
7. a copy of the new message never appears again

I also have the same problem if I open up two chat windows immediately and then try to chat.

I've tried setting the socket options to SO_REUSEADDR, although that didn't help either. If anyone has any ideas it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Chris
