Checking network connection with a proxy

  • Subject: Checking network connection with a proxy

Hi,

I'm checking if the user has a network connection with SCNetworkCheckReachabilityByName as has been discussed a number of times on the list. It has been working well, but I've run into an issue with it. If the user is going through a proxy server that requires a password (might happen with any, I've only had report of protected servers) the check fails. Is there anyway to authenticate in the check or a better way to check if the user has a network connection? I haven't found anything on how to do it so far.

Thanks,

Brad
