Copyrighting Application Name

Hi,
I know this is not the right list, but I use to frequest this list so
please... My application is ready and I want to protect it registering its
name. Which is the right way to register an application's name and its
features internationally? Is it Copyright? Or Trademark?
Does it work all over the world?
Any pointer to the right info would be appreciated. Thanks.

Best Regards
