Absolutely. Modern games also tend to have relatively complex in
house development tools for inventorying the various assets and for
"compiling" everything down to the shipping, potentially cross
platform, product. Core Data would certainly do quite well as a
solution in such a context if the development team were comfortable
with a Mac focused development platform.
