While there is a dedicated Accessibility list, I decided I'd ask here first (since traffic is very very low on that list).
Has anyone played around much with VoiceOver and how it may/may not work with your application?
I have my own user interface controls and they all can be made first responder to ultimately allow for full keyboard access. What I'm seeing is that the VoiceOver "cursor" doesn't always follow the keyboard focus even though I've set that option in the VoiceOver settings.
I'm also seeing situations where the VoiceOver cursor is around the entire window itself (as if the window was the first responder). Yet the appropriate control within that window is the first responder (as it shows my focus ring).
I have a feeling that this is due to the fact that my application is not 100% accessible yet. i.e. I haven't set up appropriate roles, descriptions, etc. for certain entities.
Is VoiceOver a technology that will "just work" if one's app is fully accessible, or do you need to do any additional work? The documentation sort of implies the former. I have seen any "VoiceOver" APIs anywhere.
