Which Quicktime API?

  • Subject: Which Quicktime API?

Just wanted to make sure i'm on the right track.

My cocoa application has a sequence of RGB images which compose a video. I want the user to pick from the list of available codecs, and my program will compile the images into a quicktime movie with the specified codec.

I should be using the Quicktime API, not the QTKit. Is this correct?
