case of your problem: how have you determined that your controller/
view is not getting mouse and keyboard input?
Tangentially -- why did you call your object a controller? What
function is it serving that is controller-like?
After noticing my own typo while reading follow-ups, it occurs to me
that another possibility is that Brian, while typing "controller" was
actually talking about a control.
