It does pay to know who your market is, and what they are likely to own.

Have you looked at:

Do keep in mind, though, what Omni sells - Graffle, OmniWeb, and Outliner seem to be the main products. Graffle seems to be primarily used by IT, science, and management types, while users of alternative, for pay, browsers also seem to be primarily web designers and cutting edge types. Outliner seems to be used across the user base.

The graffle and OmniWeb markets are, I believe, more likely to be using the latest and best. At the least, among my clients, it is likely to be an accountant, secretary, bookkeeper, lab tech, or tech writer who is using an older machine with an older OS.

For what it is worth, Omni's results very closely match my own customers. I can target Tiger, Java 1.5, and a fast G4 or G5, and usually not get any pushback. Were I writing a game, say, or something targeted at teens, I would have a different target market.
