Yes I know that.. But if you look at the iTunes Podcast
Specifications page http://phobos.apple.com/static/iTunesRSS.html
you clearly see at the bottom that the apostrophe and the
quotations must be escaped in order for the feed to work. I need
the xml to be parsed that way or else it will not work. Also, I
cannot do it manually because the NSXML class automatically escapes
the ampersand but nothing else. Do you know how to get it to escape
the other characters? Thanks.
I am very familiar with both the July 7, 2005 and October 20, 2005
specifications, as I am the author of FeedForAll Mac, http://
www.FeedForAll.com/ . And at the bottom it is just mentioning the 5
named escape sequences that XML supports. Also, their example show
un-escaped (') in them (I do acknowledge that they do have mistakes
in them). Also if you download several podcasts you will find that
about 50% do and 50% don't escape ('). For more discussion on the
iTunes specification you can join Apple's syndication-dev mailing list.
