No Uli,
my application has been built with Development style.
ZeroLink is turned on by default when building as "Development".
Furthermore, my clients who updated to the new version but didn't
delete the
old version, when double clicking on a file, get the older version
launched
instead of the latest version.
I don't think there's any way to prevent this. You might try
whether actually giving your test version a higher version number
helps, I haven't tried that (I.e. instead of 1.2b4, try 2.0 or
whatever). You could also try whether you can build into a disk image
and just unmount the disk images with those versions you currently
don't want running.
And they call me all the time saying that the
new feature doesn't work. I reply to them saying to delete the old
versions
from the disk or to stuff them. Small problem but problem.
On Tiger and later, you could probably use Spotlight to check
whether other copies of your application are present, and if they are
you could offer to trash them automatically (or you could use an
installer that removes the old version(s) and only then installs the
new one).
