One approach is to implement awakeFromNib in the window controller and then use that method to call whatever code to initialise the text field. awakeFromNib is called by the framework after the nib file has been unpacked.

Hello,

I have an NSStepper in IB, and a text field beside it. The text field is set to get its int value from the stepper. In my program I set the min and max and current values. This all works, except that when the window first appears, there is no value visible in the text field. Once I click on the stepper's arrows then the numbers show up as they should.

What do I need to do to display that initial value?

Thanks
Bob
