Someone gave me this advice when I first started with Cocoa last year and
started to write some code to parse a plist.  I've lived by it ever since,
and have seen it echoed by others in this list, but sorry can't find any
such messages right now.

Does your answer imply that the answer to my question is "yes"?  Is it as
involved as I stated?
