Another Q while were on the topic...
Is there anyway of getting the splitview's drag and drop resizing to
occur when I click on something else? lets say for example in Mail
[ tiger version ] on the bottom of the mailbox list theres the |||
that we can use to resize the area - or we can do it by using the
resize area they've given us on the right of the area...

I've checked out the documentation and there doesn't seem to be
much there on customising the splitviews...
How about "-[NSSplitView dividerThickness]", that:
"Returns the thickness of the divider. You can subclass NSSplitView
and override this method to change the divider’s size, if necessary."
And if you're going to check that out, you might as well read about
"-[NSSplitView drawDividerInRect:]".
