Subject: DiskArbitration - not the right framework for getting mounted drive info?
I'm trying to figure out how to use disk arbitration to see if it
will do what I need. So far, it seems that it won't.
I want to get a list of mounted drives (volumes/partitions), and info
such as type (hfs etc), removable or not, bsd name, etc.
I've tried a lot of things but so far the only thing I've been able
to find that will do it all is diskutil (which is command line and
slow - and then you have to parse the output).
I had hoped that disk arbitration would be the answer, but so far
I've not been able to figure out the docs to see. The docs are pretty
lame, I have to say.
Does anyone know if it can do this? If not, I'll just keep
searching... unless someone has THE ANSWER!
Thanks.
