Apple Interface Copyright

Hi Guys,
im about to embark on a new development project, however, I was hoping to get some advice and feedback on interface design and apples copyright status on application look and feel.
Basically, the application I am building requires a very similar interface to iTunes, given that it is a library based product, and well.. lets face it, the iTunes interface is pretty much one of the best ways, if not the only way to manage such a large library in a single window... but lets not get into a usability chat, this is more based on 'design guidelines'.
So basically, what im asking is, if I create an app who's interface is similar to an apple app like iTunes, will that be breeching copyright? considering apple supply us with loads of interface design guidelines, and allow us to develop applications in the OSX likeness, would it be classified as wrong?
im very interested to hear peoples responses to this one, its a question thats been puzzling me for quite some time.
Cheers
_/Az.
