This isn't a Cocoa question per se, but it does relate to trying to
distribute my Cocoa programs. I have some programs which I want to
be able to distribute to Mac OS X users, from 10.1 and up.
I used the Disk Utility under Tiger to make a disk image of some
files. However, this disk image will not verify the checksum when it
is opened with Disk Copy under Mac OS 10.1 or 10.2. Does anyone know
what is going wrong here? Since I want to distribute my files to as
many people as possible, I want to be able to create a disk image
that can be opened by anyone on Mac OS X, not just the Panther and
Tiger users. (I was able to get the disk image to open properly
under Panther). I do not want to disable the checksum verification,
or need to have specific instructions for the user to disable the
verification under Disk Copy (for Mac OS 10.1 and 10.2).
I have found that if I create a Disk Image with Jaguar's Disk Copy,
that the disk image opens fine under 10.1, 2, 3, and 4.
Are there any options I have to be able to create the disk image with
Tiger's Disk Utility (or perhaps even a third party utility) and not
have to resort to going to Jaguar to create the disk image?
Chad
