I hope for your sake that you don't need to worry about recurring events, since Sync Services cannot take care of this for you. You would need to write your own code for this, and they can be complicated ("second Sunday of every other month in 2006, 2008, 2009," for example).

I'm working on a framework that will "expand" recurring iCal events for you, but I'm really busy and it won't be ready for a while. If others would find this useful, please nag me and I may finish it faster. ;-)

export them to iCal by replacing or creating a new calendar if needed.
