Re: Authenticate a user

At the moment, my application contains passwords that are not stored securely; I was looking to create a blanket security form that would mean the user would have to login to access that particular information. In most senses I agree this seems a bit pointless, but some users have asked for security in this part of my app. Ideally, given more time I'd look into storing passwords securely in the keychain. My app uses core data, and I'm not sure how that links in with storing things securely yet; is there any documentation related to this?

Kind regards,
Chris

Is it possible (maybe using the security frameworks) to require a user to enter their username, password on application launch? I don't need it to authorise any super-user commands, just to authenticate that the current user can run the application.

What's the point of that? If the current user can't run the application, then it won't be executed.
