Line count in an NSTextField

  • Subject: Line count in an NSTextField

Between distractions, I've spent today trying to figure out how to determine how many lines of text are in an NSTextField that is non- editable, the contents of which are changed programmatically.

What I'm really trying to do is make a window be no larger than it necessary to be to contain a small but variable amount of text, subject to an arbitrary maximum width.

Any advice or pointers to sample code?
