Hi

I am trying to access event when user clicks on finder's menu preference
item.

Is there any mechanism thru which my application can register as listener
for Apple events generated by Mac os x? So when user click on menu items of
finder, I can call my application.

You could probably use the Accessibility API to detect this case.
