Find Spotlight Importer for a Given UTI

Does anybody know of a clean object oriented "cocoa style" way of finding the location of a spotlight importer for a given UTI? If not, does anybody now of away to solve this problem other than mucking with string parsing, NSThread, and the mdimport -L command?
