To get back on topic, it is perfectly possible to integrate the .mac
framework into a non Cocoa application, I've done exactly that in my
C/Carbon based application without any significant difficulty
(although it is true that I've had a reasonable amount of practise
mixing Cocoa and Carbon in my application)
