QTKit and QTMedia information?

Iterating over a QTMovi's tracks, and getting the media type for each QTMedia is easy. But hours of googling have not led me any further on the quest to get more detailed information.

Information I am interested in is data rate, and codec/compressor used, and khz for audio.

If this can not be doen using QTKit, I assume I must can use the quickTimeMedia method of QTMedia and dive deeper inte the C API. I have browsed the documentation, and googled on this as well, but to no avail. As that would be off-topic, a nice hint to where to go if that is the only option would be nice.
