Translating Obj-C messages to Java messages still won't make that stuff run on something else than Mac OS X, I'm afraid. Other platforms would still lack the Cocoa framework Cocoa-Java uses.


Two of your choices are to rewrite the model in pure Java with the GUI on Mac OS X still in Cocoa or to use GNUstep on those other platforms.
