tried it and unfortunately (as predicted in the linked discussion) sending
messages to unknown object may cause problems...
NSProxy for example doesn't like being messaged. But accessing the
underlying structures seems to work fine. For example finding direct
subclasses of NSObject:
for (i = 0; i < numClasses; i++)
if (classes[i]->super_class != nil)
if (strcmp ((classes[i])->super_class->name,[[NSObject
className] cString]) == 0)
NSLog (@"found NSObject subclass %@",[classes[i]
className]);
