Give us less information. After all, sound is just sound, and there's *no* chance at *all* that there may be differences between different kinds of sound.


Sarcasm aside, NSSound has certain features. If those are sufficient for you, there's no reason to mess with QuickTime. If you need more, like being able to control what channel a sound is played in (left/right etc.) or whatever, then you may just have to use QuickTime instead.
