This month, Cocoa-heads Lake Forest will be talking about pushing
graphics to the screen in Cocoa. We will be digging more deeply into
NavComCocoa, the eye candy app introduced last month.
We will discuss what you get out of the toolkit with minimal effort,
and when you might want to do something at the lower Core Graphics
layer. (Any OpenGL programmers are encouraged to implement a
RoundLEDView.)
We will also talk about Gelphman's Programming with Quartz book, as
well as the new Cocoa Drawing Guide.
As always, the code will be up on the sourceforge subversion server
not long after the meeting.
Free stuff? Yep. JetBrains has given us a second license to IDEA,
their Java IDE, to give away as a door prize. This will be our lead-
in to a discussion about refactoring tools.
Bring coding questions, your favorite bugs, and any proposed future
discussion topics.
Meet up with us on Tuesday June 13, 2006 07:00 PM at Deidrich's
Coffee, 22621 Lake Forest Dr, Lake Forest 92630.
Scott
