Hi Mmalc and Murph,
Thanks for these Mmalc. I didn't manage to find these on the apple
website. I was searching for NSCoder and NSArchiver and just found
'header' page that lists all the methods. What I really need was some
example of using them in practice.
Also, I did look at cocoa websites but only managed to find this
<http://www.stepwise.com/Articles/Technical/FreezeDriedObjects.html>
on stepwise.
Thanks for your help folks!

I'm looking for a bit of help on archiving a custom class to disk.
Is it possible to archive a object to a file on disk and later
reload it at a later date into memory?
I have read the documentation on NSCoder and NSArchiver and also
searched the internet for example but couldn't find anything from
which I could figure it out myself.
It's not clear what part of the process is not explained by the
document that contains these articles:
Archiving/Tasks/creating.html>
<http://developer.apple.com/documentation/Cocoa/Conceptual/
Archiving/Tasks/decoding.html>
