Yes, I've to do it manually, but I'm surprised that Apple has not noticed
this problem. Off cource any type of bug can exist :)

You could create a new nib in IB and copy the main menu over to your
existing nib. Or the reverse, copy your nib's contents to the new
nib. It sounds like either way you may have to do some manual
reconnecting.
