I've never found this to work. Specifically, I want to override
the Finder's "Open new windows in column view" preference so
that my dmg always opens in icon view. The openUp program
doesn't fix this.

That nice, but I prefer something that works via the command
line so I can type "make" (or, even better, our auto-build
process can call "make") and build everything on a headless
machine.
