NSImageView in IB

Pardon the simple question below. I'm new to Cocoa & InterfaceBuilder.

How does one specify an image content for a NSImageView widget in InterfaceBuilder? My attempts to declare one in the Inspector Window's --> Attributes --> Image field yields a broken image icon. (The image in question is a jpeg; I assume jpegs are supported, though I can't find docs on which image file formats are supported.)

Also, I've found a number of docs on working with cocoa widgets programmatically. Is there a good source for docs on working with specific widgets in IB?

Thanks in advance!
Scott
