You have to take into acount the location and custom of where you are. For instance, in Isreal
the first day of the week is Sunday. Same for Muslim countries like Dubai. Sunday is the official
first day of the week.

OBPickiness: Islamic countries use Saturday as the first day of the week, not Sunday.


In the UK, very few people use week numbers, so no one cares if it's Sunday or Monday - either is considered acceptable.
