Question regarding multi-cell control with rollover

I have a custom control that contains multiple custom cells. Each
cell represents a button on the screen (within the larger control).
And each button on screen has rollover effect. In this setup, should
I maintain the tracking rect inside the custom control, for all of the
cells it contains?
Also, would it be a good idea to use a single cell object to handle
all the drawings for all the buttons within the control (by passing it
different frame rectangle each time)?
