Hey guys;

I was curious if it's possible via Cocoa (or any means) to play
protected Audio/Video files? By protected, I mean those downloaded
from the iTunes Music Store.

Protected audio files can be played back using QuickTime or QTKit. They work just like any other QT-supported file, with the exception that any attempt to convert or extract the data (as opposed to just playing it) will be refused.

Protected video files only work within certain Apple applications, and
there is no known way to play them in other applications at this time.
