Hey guys;
I beg you to please write a "white noise" app!
and when you guys have finished that I'd like a program to calculate
sundials.
I try to study in the library, everyone making noise, it is so hard to
concentrate!
It seems pretty simple.
indeed.
Just monitor the input from the microphone
(don't Macs [I have a PowerBook] have built in mics?),
you don't know if your PowerBook has a microphone?
and have it
output white noise (for my headphones) to drown out whatever it hears.
You're not listening to music in the library, are you?
Isn't white noise just the inverse of the sounds?
No, it isn't.
White noise sounds a bit like "ssshhhh" You want your headphones to
go "ssshhh" loudly and drown out the other noises? That will help you
concentrate?
You don't need a program, not even a Cocoa-developed one, to generate
that (and drown out whatever you hear). In a library, you could just
say "ssshhhh".
