QTKit is _not_ Tiger only. QTKit comes as part of Quicktime 7, which can be installed on both Mac OS X 10.3 and Mac OS X 10.4 systems.

And actually, I just found out when watching my sister set up her new Mac that apparently Tiger doesn't come with QT 7 out-of-the-box. Her Mac shipped with 10.4.4 or so, and we had to upgrade to QT 7.
