Authentication in preferencepanes

  • Subject: Authentication in preferencepanes

I have a PreferencePane that changes some system settings that requires admin privileges. Is there an easy way to get the standard apple "Click the lock to prevent further changes" widget and its functionality into your own PreferencePanes?

This page here: http://www.dssw.co.uk/powermanager/ shows a custom PreferencePane with an Apple style "lock authentication widget" at the bottom. Have they "rolled their own," or is there some Apple code that they have leveraged?

Thanks,
Nick Forge
