Ok, I see I've created some confusion in my terminology; I
apologize. And Uli, you are quite perceptive in figuring out that I
had something else in mind. I made the mistake of using the
terminology of my end-users. Sorry.
The window I was refering to is a window that opens when you double-
click on a disk icon on the Desktop. You know, a window that shows
you a list of filenames with their icons?
The only responses I've recieved so far tell me that it can't be
done. I believe it can.
Do you want to print that window exactly as it appears? Or do you
want to print the contents of that window in some other format (i.e. a
list of the files in that window)?
If you want the window as it appears, can you ask the user to choose
the window that they want to print? You might be able to do something
with the screencapture command line tool then.
