Whether or not something is patented is off topic for the list, but
it may also create legal problems for those of us who read the list
if (by some chance) one of us ends up in court for infringing a
patent that gets mentioned here. (e.g. in the U.S. a lawyer might

patent when they infringed it, which would trigger the triple damages
rule...)
So *please* don't post any information about patents here.
