In Interface Builder, pull-down menus seem to have four styles:

Square Textured
Shadowless Square (dim)
Why are Square and Shadowless Square unavailable? I could really
use a square pull-down menu. But if the control just doesn't
support these styles, I can't figure out why they'd be in the menu
at all...
They're all enabled for me. I created a Cocoa nib and was able to
drag in four instances of NSPopUpButton. I set all of them to be
"PullDown" and then was able to set the different styles.
This was on 10.4.10 (Intel) with Xcode 2.4.1
Finally, you'll want the oldest target of your nib to probably be
10.3. If set to 10.2 or earlier, you'll start to see warnings/errors
when setting certain styles.
