Core Data - File Size - and Speed

  • Subject: Core Data - File Size - and Speed

Hi everyone.
I'm new to the list and fairly new to Cocoa, although
I've dabbled in it a bit for a few years.

I'm delving into Core Data and I'm loving it.

So I'd like to create an application with a thesaurus
and dictionary built in.

My main concern is that the file size of the database
will be too large (with 10,000+ words).

Also, is my idea even practical? I'd like the database
to be searchable. But would it just take too long to
search through 10,000 words?

If I'm understanding Core Data correctly, I can have
either an SQLite or XML database. Which is faster?

I appreciate any advice on this.
Thanks,
Jon
